Jeff Sheridan
Founder & Chief Engineer
28 years in the audio industry starting his career when he was 16- that gives away his age! After a ten year career in Toronto Jeff left his position as Chief Engineer at a prominent post production house to come to Los Angeles and work for John Candy. Jeff was both engineer and associate producer on the syndicated radio show entitled “Radio Kandy”. This show was on the air across the US on near 300 stations a week. Since then Jeff formed Soundworks. This studio has been in business for 12 years and the clients include Walt Disney Records, MGM Animation, Dreamworks, Nickelodeon, The Disney Channel, Lifetime, USA, The Sci-Fi Channel, Fox, UPN and many more. Jeff has 12 gold and platinum records in the children’s category and has worked on 5 Grammy nominated projects and one winner! Jeff has extensive audio experience in many areas including dialog recording, mastering, music engineering, mixing and audio restoration. Jeff believes in the phrase “if your work speaks for itself, don’t interrupt”, so that is it for this quick overview of Jeff’s career.

Dan Montes
Engineer
Dan has been working in the audio industry for over 10 years. He has a great ear and can dig out a sound bite from almost any source! He started his career producing and engineering radio commercials and now spends most of his time mixing promo for such well known broadcasters as USA, Lifetime, The Hub, and The Disney Channel. Dan also records dialog at Soundworks for the hit television series Higglytown Heroes, Bubble Guppies, Olivia, and Handy Manny.

A strong background in music gives Dan an even stronger ear when it comes to editing music and mixing. He is regarded around here as a master of his craft and a vital part of the Soundworks team.

Dustin Burford
Assistant Engineer & Dialogue Editor
After completing a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of New Mexico in 2007, Dustin attended the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Tempe Arizona in 2009 to complete his formal audio training. Since then, Dustin has worked at Soundworks as an Assistant Engineer and Dialogue Editor for numerous clients such as Disney, Ubisoft, Machinima.com and Blindlight. He has assisted and edited many audio projects including Machinima's Red Faction, Online Underground, and Fable III, as well as Nickelodeon's Olivia and Disney's Handy Manny. Dustin has also worked with numerous video game production companies such as Ubisoft and Gearbox, and was also a dialogue editor for the Obsidian Entertainment game Fallout: New Vegas. With an extensive background in music, he also occasionally works in live sound applications as a front-of-house engineer for the Parkcrest Church venues in Long Beach. And he's a pretty cool cat.

Jacob Craner
2nd Engineer
After graduating from the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Tempe, Arizona in May of 2010, Jacob headed out to Los Angeles pursue a career in the recording industry. In June of the same year, he arrived at Soundworks, and since then has worked as a 2nd engineer on sessions for the shows such as Handy Manny, Bubble Guppies, Olivia, and also worked as a dialog editor for Obsidian Entertainment’s major release video game, Fallout: New Vegas. His background as a musician and songwriter and strong work ethic makes him a valuable asset in the studio.
