In collaboration with Volition Inc. and THQ Games, our associates at Machinima have produced a 5-webisode miniseries to aid in the promotion of the recently-released Red Faction: Armageddon videogame. The story unfolds in parallel to the game narrative, following the character of Lt. Curt MacReady, as he encounters the rising threat to the Mars colonists.
Ramping-up to the June 7th release of the game itself, the Machinima series was produced by utilizing the existing game engine and assets, in order to create an original animated adventure that takes place within the world of Red Faction: Armageddon.
In addition to recording the dialogue, Soundworks had the great pleasure of creating original sound-design and mixing the final audio for the miniseries. Since the airing of the final episode, the show has accumulated over 500,000 views on YouTube.
